Calli & Helper Portraits Coming Soon...

Sunday, November 19, 2006, 5:22 PM

I am pleased to announce, to those who don't already know, that we are finally doing a project with Tim Biskup. Tim and I have talked for a long time about doing something and the Portraits Series seemed to be just the right place to start. That is after the Dragamel drawing he did for the Curious Show portfolio. Anyway, here is a sneak peek at what the prints should look like. It is a quick mock up so hopefully it will just get better from here, but these are the actual drawings. And finally to dispel some rumors going around, these are not sold out and we are not taking any pre-orders. The edition will be 100 so anyone on the email list will have a very good chance of getting one.

We Came, We Saw, It Raw-ked

We're back from LA. It raw-ked, throughly. We're all recuperating, gearing up for what's next (there is much!), but let us take a moment to reflect on the greatness that was the Copro Nason installment of A Curious Show.

We left Denver with a Uhaul and a sense of puropse.

Santa Monica! There was beach! Palm trees! Also small dogs in sweaters.

And then there was work to be done.

This is what it looked like when we were done

How better to reward ourselves than with some "Poquito Mas"

And what better movie than The Nightmare Before Christmas... in 3-D!?!

The opening!

Camille Rose Garcia, Brad, Mark Ryden

Gary Baseman flips through his sketchbook.

More Baseman in the background. Alex Gross eats an apple.

And then signs some autographs.

Thomas Han! I think that is Luke Chueh's back.

Eric extrapolates on the finer points of fine printing to Mr. Hassan Patterson, who flew all the way out from Florida for the show.

Art stars pose for a picture of a picture (L to R: Camille Rose Garcia, Mark Ryden, Marion Peck, Seonna Hong, and Gary Baseman)

Eric, Brad, Gretchen. Eric pops his sweet custom printed tie.

Totally sweet close-up.

Time to call it a night.
